In the Office of Development & Alumni Relations (ODAR), our job is to galvanise our community to solve these challenges and to make a difference.  Working alongside a experienced and driven team of event, communication, volunteer, fundraising, data and support professionals the Engagement & Advancement Events team, supports the events function within ODAR. Strengthening our relationships with university alumni and supporters and delivering a range of online and in-person events.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team who are seeking a passionate, motivated, and creative Events Officer who will work collaboratively with the wider team, across the University, and with external suppliers, to help deliver our programme of events.

In addition to managing and supporting events, your role will also include management of the associated social media channels, data analysis, writing of communication and ownership of our online ‘home of events’ on Hartley News Online. 

About you

You will bring a passion for events, demonstrating experience from concept through to delivery, and have a proven track record for delivering an excellent experience for guests and stakeholders.

You will have exceptional organisational skills, with an eye for detail, able to prioritise well and manage often multiple tasks and deadlines.

You will need to be a good communicator, both written and verbal and confident working alongside a variety of colleagues and building relationships. Possessing strong creative skills, you will be able to design and create elements that can be used in our events and promotional plans.
