Position overview
The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking to appoint two Associate Directors of the Australian Community Climate and Earth System Simulator – National Research Infrastructure (ACCESS-NRI). ACCESS is a suite of software that lies at the heart of Australia’s outstanding climate and weather modelling capability. ACCESS is used by CSIRO, Bureau of Meteorology and the Australian research community, and outputs are relied upon by governments and businesses.
The Associate Director (Model Development) and Associate Director (Release Management and User Support) will provide strategic leadership to the project across portfolios delivering improvements to the ACCESS models (including ocean, atmospheric, land and coupled models), and delivering the mechanisms and support required to make the software more accessible to all Australian researchers.
