About Communications and Marketing

The University’s Communications and Marketing function provides strategic, advisory and operational services to support the academic mission and the University strategy. It fosters a culture of best practice and collaboration across the University’s communication and marketing teams and stakeholders and uses data-driven insights to inform decision-making across the University 

About the Role

As the Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for working across the university to lead the development and delivery of integrated lifecycle marketing communications campaigns to engage with research and industry audiences. This includes leveraging constituent insights, new segmentation models and differentiated value propositions to deliver research and industry engagement initiatives.

In a typical week at work, you may:

  • Working with the Marketing Manager, develop marketing and communications plans to differentiate research value propositions in market, in support of the University's strategic research objectives 
  • Develop and work with agency partners to implement highly effective university-wide campaigns to drive awareness and acquisition outcomes, spanning lead generation, nurture and conversion initiatives 
  • Partner with the integrated content and campaigns team to develop engaging and relevant content within brand guidelines

About You

You will harness the a bility to work in a collaborative, rapidly changing and agile environment, to use creative thinking to challenge the status quo to deliver effective business outcomes. You will also demonstrate your ability to build, establish and maintain relationships and manage multiple stakeholders.

Ideally, you will further have:

  • Demonstrated work experience within relevant marketing and communications field and tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, finance, business or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
  • Demonstrated successful delivery of marketing communications activities within a large and complex organisation
  • Experience in integrated marketing communications, content development and execution strategies, including digital media platforms
