How will you become part of our research community?

As Lecturer in Management (Innovation and Entrepreneurship) you will work across the following three main areas: Research and Innovation, Teaching and Learning and Service and Engagement. You will be responsible for developing and delivering exceptional postgraduate and undergraduate courses in the field of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. You will attract external research funding and focus on community engagement. You will contribute to the local and global advancement in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship through multiple research projects and partnerships and embed your research findings into your teaching methods and strategies. You will provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to PhD and honours students and maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.

You will be an energetic, self-motivated team player with a passion for teaching, research, and mentoring. You will use creative and innovative methods to develop and deliver courses that are interdisciplinary, technologically contemporary and industry relevant. It is expected as part of your development, you will undertake research of high quality within the field of management, innovation and entrepreneurship and contribute towards multidisciplinary research projects.

This full-time ongoing position will be located at the Newcastle City Campus.

How will we support you?

The remuneration is from $ 101,197 - $120,173 + 17 % superannuation.

*Remuneration rate as of 30/09/2021.

The University’s College of Engineering, Science and Environment (CESE) brings together expertise in engineering, environment, and the sciences to deliver life ready graduates and transformative solutions to our region and the world.  CESE strives for excellence, innovation and equity in teaching, education, research and partnerships.  We are global leaders uncovering new knowledge, creating revolutionary technology, and delivering innovative teaching.

The School of Engineering is one of the most research-intensive Schools within the University.  The School consists of four discipline groupings:

  • Civil and Environmental Engineering and Surveying
  • Chemical and Renewable Energy Engineering
  • Aerospace Systems, Electrical, Computer Systems
  • Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering

The School is home to many leading-edge research centres and has strong links with industry through sponsored undergraduate students and research collaborations. It is highly research active, contributing substantially to the overall research inputs and outputs of the CESE.  This is reflected in the 2018 Excellence in Research in Australia outcomes where Electrical, Civil, Mechanical and Resource Engineering codes all received an ERA5.
