Northumbria University is in the process of further developing our Procurement Team to ensure it can support the University's commercial growth plans. These growth plans are supported by several long-term investments of which a substantial part is allocated to our IT department for technology in education and research as well as to support infrastructure improvements.

We are therefore looking for an experienced IT Category Manager to work closely with our IT department to ensure this investment is spent effectively and efficiently. Key activities for this role are to lead the development and implementation of the IT Category & Strategic Sourcing plans and closely collaborate with the newly formed ITAM team to ensure effective processes are put in place and value for money is achieved. 

The University is working in a hybrid manner and whilst some in-person attendance will be required, we are happy to work flexibly with the successful candidate to agree on a model that works for both of us.
