The University has an ambitious strategy underpinned by a financial plan designed to enable growth whilst delivering a stable and sustainable financial base. The Finance Business Partnering team is key to how the Finance service supports Faculties and Services in delivering the strategy, and we are therefore seeking to appoint an ambitious Finance Business Partner who will support  the University's services in the delivery of the ambitions in the strategy. The role holder will be responsible for all financial performance and control activities within the service(s), including supporting on planning and budgeting and ongoing monitoring and advice.  They will lead on projects, and analyse and present accounting information in the relevant format to support stakeholders at various levels.

The role holder will join a team of well-established business partners but will also play a role in further developing and strengthening the University's approach to Partnering. The role will therefore suit an experienced finance professional who has excellent communication and influencing skills, can work proactively and flexibly with diverse stakeholders, is able to understand the complex requirements in Higher Education, and who can support a more commercial culture and focus.
