Job Description

The Department of Geography NUS invites applications for a Teaching Assistant. The appointment will begin in July 2022 for 24 months in the first instance, with subsequent renewal subject to performance.

The candidate should have a strong Bachelors degree in Geography, Environmental Science or a related topic. Skills in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) will be advantageous. The candidate will assist with the implementation of key introductory modules in the Geography Department, such as GES1004 Biophysical Environment of Singapore and GET1001 Seeing the World through Maps. The candidate may also assist with modules in GIS if they have the appropriate skills. The job scope will include but is not limited to, assisting lecturers with module organization, setting up and co-teaching of laboratory and tutorial sessions and grading of assignments and exams. This position will involve substantial interaction with students.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Geography or equivalent.
