Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (several posts) in the Department of Surgery (Ref.: 511389), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with proven experience in computer sciences or a related discipline. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of and experience in multidimensional dataset analyses (including the use of radiographic and histological images as input data for building prediction model) are highly preferred. Basic histopathology background would be advantageous but not essential.
The appointees will join a multidisciplinary team and work on projects related to data-driven clinical model development in the Division of Esophageal and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery. This post will provide a training platform for the commercialization of a cross-disciplinary project on data science and biomedicine. The appointees will be given an inter-institutional networking opportunity to work with different domain experts.
