Research Assistant, Pharmacy
The successful candidate will work with A/P Giorgia Pastorin on the pharmacological evaluation of nanoformulations that mimic naturally secreted extracellular vesicles (EVs) under a project on Capsule-Surface affinity.
The main responsibilities of the position include immunological and biological assays of macromolecular systems for drug delivery purposes, as well as animal work.
The candidate should have experience in animal work (animal handling, I.V. tail vein injection, subcutaneous injection, monitoring of vital sign, IVIS analysis, organ isolation etc.) and familiarity with cellular assays (e.g. PCR, ELISA, gene transfection, proteomics & lipidomics characterizations, miRNA). Preferably, he/she should have some experience with extracellular vesicles.
The candidate is expected to discuss a potential study that fits with the project indicated above and that exploits his/her research skills for applications in the biomedical field.
- Qualifications / Discipline: Bachelor degree in Life Science, Pharmacy or relevant disciplines.
- Skills: Animal work (mice), Biological assays, analytical characterization methods
At least 2 years’ experience in animal work
