About the Role

With continued strong growth in our Nursing and Midwifery programs we are seeking a Senior Lecturer to join South Australia's No.1 university for graduate careers in nursing. Joining UniSA Clinical and Health Sciences you will support the delivery of high-quality education to students studying nursing and midwifery - the Academic Unit is equipped with purpose-built teaching facilities which incorporate fully equipped simulated hospital and health service and research facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery and coordination of nursing and health courses within the Nursing and Midwifery undergraduate and postgraduate programs and will positively contribute to the Academic Unit’s teaching and research agenda.

As a Senior Lecturer in Nursing here at UniSA you will make an outstanding contribution to the leadership of the Academic Unit’s teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate programs and supervision of HDR students. You will also make innovative contributions to the advancement of teaching and enhance the research profile of the Academic Unit through the development of a program of collaborative research supported by competitive research grant funding.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and deliver nursing and health courses
• Apply research and scholarship to the development and delivery of quality teaching and learning activities
• Provide academic counselling and advice to students
• Contribute to curriculum development, research and scholarly activity
• Supervise / co-supervise postgraduate and HDR students
• Create, foster and enhance local, national and international relationships with relevant University, industry and professional organisations

Essential Skills and Experience

We are seeking to appoint a highly credible individual with a demonstrated track record of teaching and clinical expertise, knowledge and contribution to the discipline of Nursing. A Bachelor of Nursing and PhD qualification in a health related discipline, and current registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia is essential. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to enhance the research profile of the Academic Unit through collaborative research, grant acquisition and HDR supervison.

Your experience developing a culture of teaching and learning excellence, research capability and well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills are sought to ensure a positive contribution as a part of the academic team.
