Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and motivated research assistant to join Associate Professor V. Angeli’s laboratory located in the Immunology Programme, Life Sciences Institute. This position is for up to 3 years and funded by National Medical Research Council. The project will focus on deciphering the role of a unique population of macrophage in arterial diseases.

Successful candidates should be motivated, have good communication skills and capable of working in a team environment. You will join a dynamic, well-funded and -equipped laboratory and you will receive high quality training.

Qualifications

The candidate is expected to carry out cell culture, microscopy, imaging analysis flow cytometry and animal work. The applicant should have a BSc or MSc degree in Life sciences, preferably with prior experience in research project(s). Competence and skills in cell biology and techniques would be advantageous. A background in macrophage and/or vascular biology will be highly advantageous.
