Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer (two posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 511293), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research in global health and development, international and regional studies, medical anthropology or a related discipline, with at least 3 years’ relevant teaching experience. High proficiency in English and good mentoring skills are essential. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to and evidence of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. A portfolio of programme administration, curriculum design and delivery, production of teaching materials, supervision of teaching practice, quality assurance, and/or student supervision is highly preferred.
The appointee will coordinate academic curriculum of education programmes, including BASc(GHD) and MPH modules. He/She will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in globalization, global governance and policy setting, health system and financing, planetary health and other related fields; and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
