Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Prof. Suresh Valiyaveettil on design, synthesis and characterization of new multidimensional materials and exploring their applications.

The main responsibilities of the position include

1. Synthesis and characterization of a few organic molecular building blocks
2. Establish self-assembly of the building blocks in the absence and presence of metal ions 
3. Investigate the properties of the above materials in solid state and in solution
4. Coordinate research activities between different groups
5. Help the PI to prepare documents
6. Organize meetings among the collaborators

Qualifications

• Qualifications / Discipline: PhD (Chemistry or Materials science)
• Skills: Organic synthesis and purifications, structural characterisations, simple device fabrications, application studies in energy, environment and other areas.
• Experience:  Experience in organic synthesis, use of spectroscopic and microscopic techniques for material characterisation or related areas.
