Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Teaching Fellow in Environmental Policy (up until 31 August 2024) within the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy
The Environmental Policy subject group comprises a research-intensive faculty group that are internationally recognised for expertise in the direct application of environmental policy into the policy development process. The Group has provided direct policy advice to, inter alia, the Japanese Government, Irish Government, European Commission, European Environment Agency, OECD and World Bank and our graduates are distinguished policy advisers in the public and private sectors across the globe. `Sustainability' is a stated strategic area for the University and the Environmental Policy group are leaders in the application of environmental policy research to the formulation of policy responses to environmental change. Applicants must have a PhD (or PhD near completion), have a relevant research background, ability to engage in high-quality teaching in environmental policy in a university setting at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Applicants must be self-starters, have high-quality administrative and organisational experience, evidencing potential to develop projects or programmes, a thorough understanding and knowledge of the role of research and publication as a basis for research-informed teaching, excellent interpersonal skills, and a capacity and enthusiasm for working in an interdisciplinary context within the School and the wider University.
Fixed Salary: €38,000 per annum
