This is an excellent opportunity to work at an exciting time at the University of Greenwich and in the Chief Finance Officer Team following the launch of the 2030 “This is Your Time” strategy. The Finance & Procurement Team are also embarking on a transformation programme with service delivery and uncompromising quality at the centre of the new target operating model.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about creating value through the supply chain and thinks innovatively to challenge traditional procurement methods. Equally, we are seeking someone, who is motivated by developing individuals to realise their potential and work collaboratively with other team members to deliver excellent service delivery with uncompromising performance quality. We are looking for an individual who will develop our procurement methods to underpin the University’s ambitious 2030 “This is Your Time” strategy which are easy to utilise and generate social value.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Head of Procurement will be pivotal in ensuring financial stability, leading procurement processes delivering value for money through an excellent service delivery culture. The role line manages 6 individuals in a team of 7 and influences revenue spend of c£60m and c£15m capital spend in a typical year. The University is about to embark on some significant capital projects and we are looking for an individual with sharp commercial acumen who can deliver innovative solutions whilst ensuring value for money including social value benefits procurement solutions 

They will work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to understand requirements and influence procurement outcomes that support the strategy.
