The Dubai Campus launched in October with 10 programmes including art and design programmes in BA Interior Design and BA Fashion Communication and Styling. This portfolio will subsequently grow to encompass the broad range of creative disciplines that are also taught at DMU UK. These Art and Design programmes are taught by internationally acclaimed and award-winning academics in the UK – and we are now seeking to extend our reputation through further appointments and campus in Dubai.
Our students enjoy opportunities to work on live projects with industry, designed to consider a more sustainable fashion future. Students have recently worked on briefs set by the British Fashion Council, the British Library, Ted Baker and Stella McCartney.
We are seeking to appoint Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Fashion Communication and Styling (Full-Time or Adjunct Faculty) to join our teaching team at DMU’s Dubai Campus.
You will have a good, relevant degree, and must have experience of teaching and assessment in Higher Education in one or more of the following subjects:
Photography / Video (ideally fashion-related), fashion styling, visual communications for fashion, fashion drawing and illustration, fashion / styling history, culture and context.
You must be passionate about teaching the next generation of fashion communicators and stylists - to challenge their future industry and help make the changes needed to tackle the climate emergency and engender social change.
At the present time, we wish to hear from candidates who are already located in the Middle East and hold the required permits to reside and work, full-time in Dubai.
