£39,467 - £50,017 pa (for those who were below ST3 on 3 August 2016 

The University of Southampton Faculty Of Medicine is offering an appointment to be based within the Cancer Research UK/ECMC Centre at Southampton General Hospital. The post-holder will join a large team of basic and clinical researchers with extensive programmes in translational cancer medicine.  The post is designed to provide a period of protected time for a Clinical Research Fellow to obtain experience in clinical cancer research and early phase clinical trial methodology in solid malignancies and lymphoma. The post is designed to fulfill the requirements for out-of-programme experience for a specialist trainee in any field relevant to cancer medicine, but may also be suitable for an individual who does not yet have a national training number and wishes to pursue a career in cancer medicine. This is a full time, 12 month fixed-term appointment in the first instance.  

A satisfactory DBS disclosure at Enhanced level is required for this post. The post is only open to applicants with a medical qualification.
