Senior Lecturer Level C in Immersive Technologies
Our School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is currently seeking a Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Computer Science / Information Technology, with focus on Developing Innovative methods in immersive technologies, modelling and visualisation, augmented, virtual and enhanced Reality, user experience, and Human-Computer Interaction. You will be responsible for undertaking high impact research in this area, including generation of funding for applied and translational research, publication of scholarly work and take a leading role in learning and teaching activities as well as industry interaction, e.g. through our App Factory, Cyber Studio, and IDEA Lab. This role requires you to develop a leadership role in research projects including supervision of sessional teaching staff and higher-degree research students. You will also develop and lead engagement iniatives and activities and contribute to the innovation and collaboration of industry and university partnerships.
This is a full-time position primarly based at the Nathan campus. Griffith is a multi-campus university and therefore it is understood that this position will work across campuses as required.
To be successful within this role, you will already have an established, industry-informed research profile within the computing, visualisation, or HCI research community and with demonstrated experience in industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the forefront computing, modelling and visualisation, and human-computer interaction area and will have a passion for driving excellence and innovation around user experience, user-centred design, and user co-design app development. You will have a track record of successful supervision of postgraduate research students and Honours projects along with a focus upon deep and comprehensive engagement with industry.
Senior Lecturer (Level C): $120,263-138,674 pro rata per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $140,708-162,248 pro rata per annum.
