Dean of Law

The Macquarie Law School has pioneered a contemporary approach to teaching law in societal, economic and political contexts, and our internationally recognised research brings together leading minds across diverse legal issues. The next Dean of Law will lead a period of growth and development across both teaching and research that will reinforce and enhance our links with industry and our pursuit of social justice. Bringing an ethos of engagement and collaboration, the Dean will demonstrate a flair for innovation across education and research and the ability to inspire staff and students alike as the School continues on a positive trajectory of growth and renewal.

Head, Department of Security Studies and Criminology

One of Australia’s leading academic centres of teaching and research in applied security studies and criminology, the Department has a strong focus on research excellence, impact, student engagement and employability. The next Head of Department will bring a record of excellence in research and research leadership, and the ability to inspire collaboration and continued success across teaching and research into the future. Critical to success in this role will be the ability to develop and maintain links to industry, academic institutions and government.
