Job Purpose

This role will involve a combination of home and office working (Manchester)

To develop the digital marketing strategy for BPP through the implementation of accurate communication strategies through specifically targeted audience selections. Through the use of an automation platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), you will create and maintain customer marketing and transactional journeys to enhance the consumer experience, drive growth and streamline internal processes.

This will in turn optimise the potential of every customer relationship. This will be achieved through the use  of leading edge techniques and the implementation of best practice in the areas of Marketing Automation  and Customer Relationship Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing email marketing campaigns in line with the Marketing Plan to ensure a seamless customer experience from acquisition through to retention
  • Support the Marketing Automation Manager in executing the testing plan and coming up with new ideas to improve email engagement metrics
  • Working with our Content team to maintain and update assets within the content library, in particular Einstein content selection
  • Update email templates and content blocks so they remain on brand and consistent with other channels e.g. social, website
  • Ensure email content/messaging is up to date and consistent with other channels/website across all emails and automated journeys
  • Attend meetings with wider marketing team and other stakeholders for product/business updates
  • Maintain knowledge of BPP products and audiences
  • Map and maintain documentation of customer journeys
  • Reporting of campaign effectiveness /performance

Candidate Criteria


  • Passionate about digital marketing and CRM
  • Should be able to complete a creative brief and have experience of liaising with a Designers/Copywriters
  • Appreciation of email and design best practices
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, preferably in a marketing background
  • Accurate, persistent with excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently and deliver whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • Ability to problem solve and use out of the box thinking
  • Evidence of some technical knowledge/computer literate
  • Ability to take projects through from concept to completion, potentially over a longer period of time


  • Experience of working with a Marketing Automation platform/CRM (such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Responsys, Marketo, Emarsys)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Preferably will have a marketing/creative background
  • A strong background in lead generation programs, email marketing best practices, and inbound marketing
