Overview

The School of Education is one of the largest providers of Initial Teacher Education in Australia with more than 5,000 students. The School offers a broad range of programs including Early Childhood Studies, Primary, Secondary and Postgraduate Education.
We are seeking an innovative and creative academic to teach into Secondary Health and Physical Education who is passionate about education and their specific discipline, in the context of Initial Teacher Education. The Role
An exciting ongoing opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer (Level B) position, within Secondary Health and Physical Education. The position is based in the School of Education and centres strongly on curriculum, assessment, pedagogy, and research. This position is for a suitably qualified and experienced academic specialising in the field of Secondary Health and Physical Education.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of connectivity between the education of Pre-Service Teachers, their own teaching experience and engagement with the secondary education field.
Key Criteria:
- PhD in a relevant discipline
- Track record in quality research and outputs in Field of Research (FoR) 13/39
- Expertise, experience and a strong pedagogical approach in Secondary Health and Physical Education
- Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and/or SCASA WA or interstate curriculum authority
Applicants should possess outstanding interpersonal and relationship skills, with a strong track record of working in and leading teams, University experience and the ability to contribute to other areas in the Secondary discipline would be advantageous.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time, Ongoing position attracts a salary range of $102,253 - $120,814 pa (Level B) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
