The Faculty Operating Service (FOS), Medicine are seeking a motivated Administrator.
The FOS is a professional service to the University led by the Associate Director of Faculty Operations (ADFOs). The service works with Faculty Deaneries and Senior Leadership Teams to support those areas of work which provide essential services to the Faculties core business and underpins the achievement of the strategic objectives of the University.
As Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the school of Clinical and Experimental Sciences – one of four Academic Units within the Faculty of Medicine. Medicine is a thriving and ambitious multidisciplinary faculty - a national leader in medical education, with an outstanding reputation for our combined expertise in research and teaching.
You will provide a range administrative support processes within Clinical and Experimental Sciences as well as assist the Faculty Executive Officer with the delivery of Academic Unit and Faculty tasks or projects where necessary.
You must have previous experience within an administrative role, have excellent IT skills and be able to work independently, to manage workload and meet tight deadlines, and work as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role and awareness of University processes and regulations would be an advantage.
This post is to cover for a period of absence from post and is will be offered as a part time, fixed- term contract for 21.6 hours a week until 31st May 2022.
