Applications are invited for a Permanent (temporary/perm panel 12 months) post of a IT Officer within Medical Bureau of Road Safety
The MBRS is a forensic laboratory which supports the Road Traffic legislation. Currently the main IT systems sit on an air gapped Local Area Network. The maintenance of the LAN is of paramount importance to the operations of the Bureau. This role will play a crucial role in the maintenance of current IT systems, ensuring the security of the systems in a highly confidential environment but also take a lead role in IT system improvement and innovation. A high level of technical ability combined with excellent communication and leadership skills are required to fulfil this role. The role will liaise on a daily basis with scientific and administrative staff as well as external service providers.
The Medical Bureau of Road Safety has over 45 members of staff and this role is part of a two IT support team that report directly to the Head of Laboratories or nominee As part of this team, successful candidates will gain the opportunity to work in a high performing dynamic environment, delivering high quality solutions and services that support the strategy and functions of the Medical Bureau of Road Safety.
95 Programmer I\2010 Salary Scale: €50,883 - €61,163 per Annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
