We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Accountant to be part of our professional team, supporting our Faculties with a variety of challenges around Students, Research and Enterprise activities.

About the role

In this role, you will be the main point of contact for the financial management of all School accounts within one of the Faculties within the University. You will support the Head of School to maintain budgetary control though effective planning, forecasting, monitoring, and year end processes. You will also be responsible for the post award management of a portfolio of grants from various funders.

In addition, you will Deputise for the Head of Faculty Finance on a variety of committees across the Faculty and the University, as well as line-managing a Faculty finance team, supporting their development, training, and well-being.

Working flexibly – current expectations are for the post holder to be largely working from home, based two days a week in the office)

About you

  • You will be well organised, with excellent analytical and numeracy skills, with an eye for detail and capable of effectively managing a wide range of simultaneous projects/activities. 
  • You will be self-motivated and can prioritise their work in order to meet deadlines in a busy environment. 
  • You will have great customer service and communication skills.
