The University of Southampton is home the National Institute for Health Research Applied Research Collaboration, NIHR ARC Wessex. The ARC provides high-quality, implementation-based research to support to decision makers in health and healthcare. The ARC exists improve the health of the people of Wessex and the quality and cost-effectiveness of health care.
A vacancy has arisen for an Administrative Officer. You will join a small enthusiastic and cohesive team working flexibly to add maximum value to the management of health and social care research.
You will work closely with clinicians and health scientists to ensure the smooth delivery of our business. Working together with the rest of team, you will provide support the work of the ARC. An important part of the role will be building and maintaining good relationships with key individuals within the health research community.
You will be proactive, flexible and highly computer literate. You should have strong administrative and proven organisational skills and an interest in supporting the development of health research in the UK. You will need to be able to work well as part of a team, which is committed to adding maximum value to the management of health and implementation research.
