The Role

As a Catering Supervisor at SUSU, you'll be part of a fast-paced team working together to deliver our wonderful food in a variety of different outlets; The Bridge our classic coffee shop serving great sandwiches, paninis and filled jacket potatoes, Plant Pot a vegan and vegetarian lunchtime offer, The Stags our vibrant student bar serving pizzas, hot dogs and amazing wings and Below Deck serving sharing boards, nachos and loaded fries. 

You'll be working, supporting, motivating and leading a team of staff, both core and student support to provide the highest level of food and customer service in a busy but fun and enjoyable environment. Also, you'll be supporting the Assistant Catering Manager in planning, training, development and stock management of the business and offers. You will need to assist in ensuring we are compliant in the safe delivery of our food; all daily duties and tasks are carried out to the highest standard and our procedures and health & safety policies are followed at all times.

About You

You should hold relevant and demonstrable catering experience including that of delivery of a branded menu, good understanding of food safety policies and ways of working, stock control, portion control, leadership skills and have excellent customer service. You should have a Basic Hygiene (Level 2) certificate and have, or be prepared to obtain, a Food Hygiene (Level 3) certificate. It's also essential that you have catering experience and an initial level of leaderships skills. You can find the full Person Specification within the Role Profile attached.
