The Business School is one of the largest modern Business Schools in Scotland and at the leading edge of innovation, with a strong academic reputation in undergraduate, postgraduate, executive education, and business research.
A truly international community of practice, the School offers expertise, teaching, knowledge exchange and research across: Accounting & Finance, Business & Management, Law, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, and Festival & Events Management.
Our industry links are second to none and we have developed excellent connections with the corporate community and organisations such as Scottish Enterprise, and the Chamber of Commerce. We also act as official advisers to the Scottish Government.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real difference and lasting impact on our University. This role will be responsible for leading the large diverse school, driving forward and building on our current achievements and providing strategic direction for growth in addition to successfully leading the school through the AACSB accreditation process. This is a rewarding and challenging role that will require someone with the ability to lead ongoing organisational change and development, with exceptional planning and leadership.
As a Dean, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team of the University and play a key role in delivering our ambitions both at School and University level.
The Dean will be an outstanding leader in their field, with a strong Professorial level record of achievements in line with our academic pathways, relevant to the School’s subject disciplines.
