Applications are invited for a Temporary 60 months post of a Research Project Administrator within UCD School of Architecture

An Administrative Assistant is sought for the EU project WaterLANDS (Water-based solutions for carbon storage, people and wilderness) which will contribute to the restoration of wetland sites across Europe and lay the foundations for future protection of these vital habitats. WaterLANDS will undertake hands-on restoration of specific wetland sites and create best practice models that can be applied at other sites. The project will engage with local communities and stakeholders to ensure that wetland restoration results in social and economic benefits as well as environmental benefits.

The five year project is led by University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland and brings together 31 organisations from research, industry, government and non-profit sectors in 14 European countries. This position of Administrative Assistant will support the project management in collecting information on work package progress, logistics and financial matters. The appointee will: * Assist with ensuring that the overall project operates efficiently in terms of systems, programme and meeting EU reporting requirements; * Liaise with work package leaders on progress and reporting * Support the financial reporting requirements, including the transfer of funds to European partners * Assist with logistics, including arrangements for meetings and events * Contribute to regular updates to partners and to the European Commission * Communicate with work package leaders and all partners.

The Administrative Assistant will work collaboratively in a core management team in UCD of 3 people who will report to the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) / Principal Investigator. The work will be primarily office-based, but may require the post-holder to attend offsite events and meetings which will involve some travelling and overnight stays. The appointee will operate in an evolving environment where duties and responsibilities will be subject to review and change over time.

Salary Range: €35,000 - €45,000 per annum

Salary offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
