Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Clinical Assistant Professor in Anatomical Pathology in the Department of Pathology (Ref.: 509085), to commence as soon as possible, on a four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second four-year fixed-term contract.

Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Hong Kong Medical Council, and preferably have a professional qualification in pathology (FHKCPath, FRCPath, FRCPA or equivalent, such as an American Board certification), with sub-specialization in anatomical pathology. They should have experience in clinical services in anatomical pathology, and a strong commitment to medical education and research in anatomical pathology and molecular pathology.  The appointee will provide clinical services, contribute to undergraduate/postgraduate teaching and curriculum development, conduct research and secure research funding, and assist in administrative duties in the Department and the Faculty.  Information about the Department can be obtained at http://www.patho.hku.hk/. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
