Assistant Research Officer in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (Ref.: 509076) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Biological or Biomedical Sciences with substantial experience in statistical analysis and biological sample handling. Experience in multi-omic analysis for human genomic and epigenomic research would be an advantage. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online survey tools, good problem-solving and communication skills, and good publication records. They should also be self-motivated, highly committed, and able to work well independently and in a team.
The appointee will carry out human genomics and epigenomics research; manage genetic diagnosis projects; prepare scientific publications, grant proposals and reports; perform data analysis and other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
