Role Description
We have an excellent new opportunity for an experienced Firefighter to develop and enhance their experience and join the Cranfield Airport Fire Service Management Team as Crew Manager.
About the Role
As RFFS/Ops Crew Manager at Cranfield Airport you will be an integral part of the management team and play a key role in the strategies relating to equipment, resources, training and the future development of the service. You will lead and manage a crew within the RFFS on site ensuring that they remain in a constant state of readiness and are able to respond to any reported incidents as needed. In addition you will organise day to day operations that would include the completion of Airport Ops, testing equipment, fire drills, fitness activities and taking responsibility for training records.
About You
As a minimum to meet the requirements of this role you will already hold a Valid Supervisor Certificate of Competence issued by a CAA approved training provider and will be able to demonstrate that you have the required experience working in an operational role within a Fire Service. You will also be able to demonstrate the necessary skills to manage and motivate a team to achieve and maintain the required standards.
To meet the requirements of this role you must have a full valid UK driving licence as well as a LGV Class C Licence, be medically fit and able to meet the required fitness standards for Fire Fighters and be willing to undertake regular theoretical and practical training.

Cranfield Airport is a commercial and GA airport situated in Class G airspace situated between Bedford and the City of Milton Keynes with a 1799m runway which can accommodate business jets such as the Falcon, Gulfstream and Boeing Business Jet, which currently do not require runway slots.
