UCB is looking to recruit an Executive Assistant to provide direct, comprehensive administrative and professional support to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services; to ensure to the effective and efficient operation of the Finance and Corporate Services department.

Finance and Corporate Services incorporates the following areas: 

  • Finance and Information Services 
  • Estates 
  • IT and eLearning

The role of Executive Assistant will involve being the first point of contact for the Director’s office; assessing and determining priorities; managing and co-ordinating diaries and meetings; producing a range of written documentation as well as maintaining effective working relationships at all levels both within the University and with external organisations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Relevant prior administrative experience (previous PA/secretarial experience not essential).
  • Outstanding communication skills. 
  • Proficient IT skills with the ability to use online tools to respond efficiently and effectively to enquiries. 
  • A professional approach. 
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to liaise at all levels with internal and external stakeholders. 

This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, but applications for part-time work over five days will also be considered (please state this as a preference in your application if appropriate).
