In this fast-paced and varied role, you will be providing a high level of executive support to the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, as well as providing leadership within the office of the Vice-Chancellor and Principal.

You will provide a professional executive support service to the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, including active and efficient diary management, organisation and administration of meetings and functions, and dealing discreetly with matters and communications of a confidential nature. You will become familiar with the strategic issues concerning the University and keep up-to-date with current policy and initiatives affecting the University.

To be successful, your essential skills will centre around IT literacy: fully versed in Office 365 and MS Teams; strong digital and presentation preparation etc. Your communication skills, both spoken and written, will be excellent and you may be educated to degree level in English, Communications, Business or IT, for example. You will engage with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external and will have the ability to research and draft briefings in preparation for meetings.

This post is offered on a full-time, permanent basis and you will be expected to be predominantly based in the Vice-Chancellor and Principal’s offices during working hours. In addition to a competitive salary, you will benefit from a range of attractive employee benefits, including a generous holiday annual leave allowance of 26 days per year as well as eight bank holidays and four concessionary days, a highly attractive pension scheme membership, excellent staff development opportunities, comprehensive private health care, on-site gym and salary sacrifice car, cycle and technology schemes.
