Lecturer in Marketing - Full time, Permanent

To complement our team, we are looking to appoint on our Learning and Teaching or Research pathway. We would especially welcome candidates with expertise in international marketing, strategic marketing, and/or market research. The successful candidate will play a significant role in supporting and developing our undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum, as well as our research agenda.

The role

You will join the ambitious growing team of academics within the Marketing Subject Group in the School under the leadership of Professor Christof Backhaus. Your contribution on the Learning and Teaching or Research pathway will be in the area of marketing, specifically international marketing, strategic marketing, and/or market research. We particularly welcome applicants with related industry experience and/or professional body engagement.  

You will have the opportunity to influence the direction of our curriculum going forward and become involved in both module and programme leadership. We have a diverse and vibrant curriculum. It is expected that you will contribute to our international deliveries in, for example Hong Kong and Singapore. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to our growing Global Online Portfolio.  You will be expected to source and conduct collaborative, as well as individual research projects, leading to the production of high-quality research outputs and impact. You will contribute significantly to the University's objective of growing our academic reputation for research informed and engaged student learning.

Who we are looking for

In addition to the role profile (click here to view) the following criteria are essential:

  • A doctoral level qualification in the relevant discipline
  • Evidence of a professional academic and research profile
  • Sufficient breadth and depth of experience to support and develop high quality teaching/learning and research projects
  • Demonstrable evidence of teaching specialisation/experience within the digital marketing area.
  • Commitment to supporting international and online delivery 

Benefits we offer

Salary: £40,927 - £50,296 per annum (Grade 6) + Pension (Employer contribution of 23%)
