Applications are invited from graduates in medicine or biological sciences for the position of Head of CLAS/Principal Teaching Fellow, Level 6 or Director of CLAS/Professor of Human Morphology, Level 7.  You will have a well-established national/international reputation in anatomical sciences and hold substantial experience in teaching gross anatomy as well as good working knowledge of the TEF and NSS process.  Experience in any area of related research to anatomy will be an advantage. A background in technology enhanced learning and curriculum innovation and education scholarship will also be an advantage. Excellent facilities for research are provided.  The appointment will be made based on qualifications and experience.

The Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences is essential to maintaining an excellent student experience. This post is pivotal to the delivery of the BM programmes as the post holder would be responsible for leading the delivery high quality and innovative anatomy teaching to around 500 students on the BM6 Year 0, BM5/6/EU Years 1 and 2, and BM4 Years 1 and 2.  Anatomy is a core part of the undergraduate curriculum. In addition to lectures this requires the design and delivery of around 70 separate practical classes and workshops.

In partnership with the Head of School you will provide effective and strategic leadership of the CLAS academic and technical team to develop and deliver innovative, high quality anatomy teaching and learning which is integrated into the BM curricula.
