Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in the School of Chinese Medicine (Ref.: 508959), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.

Applicants should possess (i) a recognized undergraduate degree in Chinese Medicine registrable with the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong and a Ph.D. degree in Chinese Medicine or related disciplines; (ii) substantial experience in Chinese medicine clinical practice, teaching, as well as course development in tertiary institutions; (iii) a proven track record of high-quality research and scholarships in the discipline as measured by impactful publications, external grants obtained, supervision of research postgraduate students and cross-disciplinary collaborations; (iv) strong commitment to Chinese Medicine education, with interests in pursuing innovations in pedagogy and curriculum design; (v) proficiency in both Chinese and English.

The appointee will take part in healthcare services, teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supervision of research postgraduate students, and academic research.  He/She is also expected to perform administrative duties.  Those with less qualifications and experiences may be considered for appointment as Assistant Professor.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
