Applications are invited for the appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow for the Contemporary China research cluster in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 508983), to commence in January 2022 for 6 months.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in public policy, sociology, social work, geography, economics, or other related disciplines. They should have demonstrated expertise in quantitative data analysis in social sciences; excellent academic writing skills in English; and the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Preference will be given to those with experience in using econometric methods to conduct public policy research.

The appointee will work on a project which aims to investigate impacts of Hukou policy reforms in China. He/She will be responsible for managing research projects; managing and analyzing data; drafting manuscripts; and assisting in general administrative, operational and other duties as assigned.
