Applications are invited for a Temporary 2 year post of a Senior Research Data Scientist (New industry sectors) within UCD School of Computer Science - CeADAR CeADAR is part funded by Enterprise Ireland and the IDA and is the national centre for applied data analytics and machine intelligence. Its market-focussed agenda is developed in conjunction with its strong membership base of over 90 MNCs and SMEs. See for further details. CeADAR is seeking an experienced and high-calibre individual who has a demonstrated successful track record in AI/data science covering technical leadership, securing funding awards, project management and business development activities. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in setting the strategic agenda for the Centre. CeADAR is based in UCD and is a collaboration between UCD and TUD. CeADAR conducts research in AI and data analytics and in related areas and develops proof-of-concept applications in cooperation with our industry partners. The Centre is also active in its participation in Horizon 2020/Europe consortia. The research at CeADAR covers a broad spectrum including explainable AI, computer vision, cybersecurity, machine learning, prediction, text mining and natural language processing, data visualisation, and data management. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work on a range of advanced projects in collaboration with industry partners and other researchers at the cutting edge of AI. Salary range: €60,00 - €73,000 per annum Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience Closing date: 17:00hrs (local Irish time) on 1st December 2021.
