Professor Salim Khakoo is looking to recruit a researcher to a postdoctoral position in immunology focussing on the immune responses to cancer and viral infections.
The position is fully funded by an NIH project grant and is for two years commencing as soon as possible. The post-doctoral fellow will work on developing understanding of how natural killer cells recognise cancer and viral infections, and builds on our previous work published in PNAS and Science Immunology. The focus of the work will be to test and understand different methods of NK cell activation, how these generate activating signals and assess their potential for generating anti-cancer and anti-viral immune responses.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an interest and experience in immunology and/or cell biology. Experience in imaging is desirable. The successful candidate should have a PhD* or equivalent professional qualification and experience in biomedical laboratory research.
