Working in collaboration with the Assistant Director (Academic), you will support the University of Sunderland in London initiatives in academic development and excellence in teaching and learning through team-working, staff development, collaboration, inclusiveness, information sharing and inspirational leadership.  

You will have overall responsibility for coordinating the development and implementation of University targets and goals that are aligned to the strategic aims and objectives of the University of Sunderland in London. To help you with achieving this ambitious task, you will manage a team of Senior Lecturers who will support academic areas such as APP, TEF, student metrics and employability, assessment and EAP/Student Academic Skills Support. You will also be required to teach and supervise student dissertation at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.  

To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience of teaching within Higher Education and proven experience of providing strong academic leadership as a team to achieve metric-focussed goals and objectives. Proven experience of cross-collaboration to develop extracurricular activities that foster quality student experience, key employability skills and strong project management experience is also essential.
