Applications are invited for a Post-doctoral Researchers to work with Professor Manos Tsakiris as part of the European Research Council Project “Inside the Self: from interoception to self- and social-awareness”. The project investigates the neural, physiological and cognitive mechanisms that underpin interoception and intreroceptive awareness with a particular focus on embodiment, social relations and/or the development of our sense of self. 

We are looking for talented, highly-skilled and motivated researchers with a PhD in psychology or neuroscience, with a strong background in functional neuroimaging methods, especially fMRI. Strong abilities in data analysis and programming in cognitive neuroscience and psychophysiology are essential. Expertise in social-affective neuroscience is highly desirable. 

The Psychology Department, located in Egham, close to Central London, has an excellent research profile (rated 6th in the latest Research Excellence Framework) and benefits from state-of-the-art research facilities (e.g. MRI, TMS, EEG, cognitive behavioural testing suites, Babylab).
