Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 508784), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a postgraduate degree by research in public health or a related discipline, with at least 10 years’ relevant teaching experience. They should demonstrate teaching excellence in face-to-face, online and hybrid modes. Proficiency in English is a must. A portfolio of course design and delivery, production of teaching materials, supervision of teaching practice, quality assurance, development and coordination of problem-based learning, and/or student supervision is highly preferred.

The appointee will coordinate academic curriculum of the education programmes offered by the School, including MBBS and MPH modules. He/She will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in health and society, health behaviour and communication, risk perception, decisions and communication, human health, smoking cessation skills, problem-based public health, challenges in health service management, health sociology, and social medicine; conduct problem-based learning, oversee the Patient Care Project in MBBS curriculum; and perform other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
