Salary: Grade 8 £42,149 - £50,296 per annum. Potential to progress to £56,587 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.

Closing Date: 30th November 2021

You will lead the investigation of higher education public policy proposals or changes, working with colleagues to obtain relevant sector or University information and develop policy lines, briefings, text or presentations to inform external proposals, consultation responses or bids. You will also work with internal subject area leads to ensure the University can respond to policy change.

You will lead a close-knit team, collaborating with professional colleagues across the University, where you will need to be well organised and an effective coordinator and communicator. The role is varied and fast-paced and you should be willing to be flexible and adaptable. You will have a good understanding of the HE public policy environment and/or be an experienced researcher with experience of analysing proposals and writing briefings and reports. You will gather, analyse and share quantitative and qualitative information from a range of internal and external sources to describe, influence or help assess the required response to external regulatory or policy initiatives.
