The Department of Classics and Philosophy accepts applications for two positions of part-time Research Assistants which will be funded by the Startup grant of Assistant Professor Dr. Margot Neger with the title “Shorter Poems in Prose Contexts: From the Roman Republic to Late Antiquity”

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • B.A. or M.A. in Classics
  • Excellent knowledge of Latin
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Experience in conducting research

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collection of data from a defined corpus of Latin texts
  • Assistance in creating a database
  • Assistance in preparing and organizing a conference
  • Assistance in preparing the conference proceedings

EMPLOYMENT TERMS:

The employment duration is set for a total of twelve (12) months with the possibility of renewal for 3 more months. The hourly gross salary is €11.68 From this amount employee contributions shall be deducted. There is no provision for the 13th salary. Cyprus citizenship is not a requirement, but the successful applicant must reside in Cyprus during their employment period
