As a government entity ADPOLY is an exciting venture that is bringing the internationally recognized Applied Bachelor / Higher Diplomas of advanced careers and majors in collaboration with our partners. ADPOLY’s Aircraft Maintenance program was developed to provide the UAE’s needed national expertise in aircraft engineering technologies. ADPOLY’s AM programs provides internationally (approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency-EASA) and nationally approved (Approved by the General Civil Aviation Authority of the UAE) Ab/Initio training in basic aircraft maintenance technologies. These approvals lead to industry required licensing. Additionally, the AM program is a Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s accredited three years’ Higher Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance. The accredited program embeds the requirements of EASA’s/GCAA’s Ab/Initio training under part 66/CAR 66 Category A1. Graduates are eligible to apply for EASA’s and GCAA’s category A “Maintenance Certifying Mechanic License” after completing the Ab/Initio training requirements along with a one year of relevant industrial experience. This license is the key for work in civil aviation on commercial aircraft at any recognized or approved maintenance facility, worldwide.

ADPOLY requires hiring an Academic Faculty to teach the Higher Diploma/Applied Bachelor degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technologies. This program has a mandatory one term On-the-Job-Training as an essential part of the students’ education. This is an Open Rank (Hiring Rank will depend on candidate’s post Master/PhD relevant full time teaching experiences, no of publications in reputable journals etc.

Applicants must be qualified to Master but preferred PhD level (Professional Doctorates are NOT accepted i.e. Doctorate of Education or Doctorate of Business Administration etc)  in relevant areas of aviation technologies and/or EASA Cat B1.1-B2 license/FAA A&P license and comparable international education with a cumulative aviation maintenance related experience in Airframe and Aircraft Propulsion Technologies, including teaching experience and sound knowledge in EASA Part-66 and Part-147 Regulations. Knowledge in Military Aviation Training Concepts will be an advantage. Evidence to active research records and publications, participating in curriculum development with minimum of 2 publications registered in Scopus Database or Scholarly Publications. Excellent oral and written English is required.
