About The School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing

The School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing (SATM) is a leading provider of postgraduate level engineering education, research and technology support to individuals and organisations. At the forefront of aerospace technology for over 60 years, the School delivers multi-disciplinary solutions to the complex challenges facing the aviation industry.

About the Role

This is a broad and varied administrative/secretarial role based within the Aerospace Theme.  Its primary purpose is to provide high-level secretarial support within the Aerospace Integration Research Centre, to its Head of Centre and to support the Centre for Computational Engineering Sciences. Occasional support to the PA to Director of Theme and ensuring the smooth and professional running of the Theme as a whole will also be required.

About You

You will be responsible for arranging and scheduling events and meetings, minute taking, finance processing, dealing with University staff, students and external customers of varying seniority as well as other ad hoc duties.  It is therefore essential that you are organised, proactive, flexible, and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, whilst managing conflicting demands. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills and will be able to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of Microsoft software applications.
