An exciting opportunity is available for a qualitative researcher to work within the Primary Care Research Centre conducting a qualitative study exploring the views of primary care clinicians and care home staff about the management of urinary tract infections in care home residents.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for research approvals, participant recruitment, carrying out and analysing qualitative interviews and writing up study reports. You will also be responsible for managing the project, including organising meetings and managing study budgets, and for supporting the study public contributors.

Applicants will have an in-depth understanding of qualitative methods, usually gained through a relevant PhD, but may also have been achieved via other research experience, normally supported by a relevant postgraduate degree. Successful applicants will have demonstrated their ability to work independently and efficiently in a research context and will have excellent written English skills with meticulous attention to detail. Experience of using qualitative analysis software such as NVivo would be an advantage.

The post is fixed term for 12 months and will be offered part time (18 hours per week) from 1st December 2021. Working hours can be flexible.
