The School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint a fixed-term Lecturer in Criminology, for the period through to the end of 2022, to cover a colleague’s secondment to another role in the University.

Situated in the heart of a beautiful and historic city, The University of Lincoln has built an international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research. The University was named as the Modern University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021.
The School of Social and Political Sciences is a thriving department within a university that has established a reputation as one of the most dynamic and fastest growing in the UK.

This is an exciting time to be joining our student-focused, collegial, and research active School in further developing our place as a leading centre for studying and engaging with the range of areas that make up Criminology as a discipline.

You may have any specialism within the field of criminology and will be able to teach within the criminology curriculum offered in the School. Alongside teaching, you will be encouraged to engage externally, for example in professional practice and scholarly activity.

You will seek to develop your own and the School’s profile, and to enrich the academic environment and profile of the School of Social and Political Sciences, and of the College of Social Science of which it forms a part.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Dr Edwin Bacon, Head of School -
