Position Overview

The Human Resource Division provide a range of operational, advisory and strategic services which enable ANU to attract, develop and retain outstanding staff who are committed to the achievement of excellence of ANU. The ANU is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to support the University in meeting its strategic objectives of improved performance and efficiency.

We are seeking an employee relations professional with extensive experience in case management within a large and complex organisation. Leading a small team with a high degree of autonomy, this position is focused on developing and embedding employee relations strategies and the provision of high level strategic and proactive advice, including advice on the application and interpretation of employment law, awards and agreements and HR policy and procedures.

Your main responsibilities include the provision of strategic, responsive and expert HR advice to senior staff across the University on complex employment issues, particularly in relation to performance management, grievance and dispute resolution, and industrial relations.

Our ideal candidate will have significant experience in developing workplace relations strategies, managing complex employee relations matters and extensive knowledge in contemporary HR Management practices including change management, dispute resolution and grievance handling.
