You will join our collaborative team in the field of structural dynamics measurements.  You will focus on the use of X-Ray Free Electron Laseer (XFEL) sources for diffraction and Coulomb explosion imaging measurements of molecules relevant to organic photochemistry.  The results from these time resolved measurements will be combined to obtain detailed information on the key structural changes occurring during photochemical reactions. 

To be successful you will have a PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Physical Chemistry or Chemical Physics and a demonstrable understanding and knowledge of ultrafast laser technology and imaging detectors.

*Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification.  The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD.  Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
